We had our usual spot, Oshkosh Hangar D, Booth 4001/4002 – which is a great spot, as we get some breeze through the booth, given that some of us come from colder climates, that certainly helps during what can be a very warm week.

Our team was joined on the ground this year by Morgan. Morgan started with us a few months ago as part of our expansion to support our dealer network globally. With our new skySuite range now moving into the certification and production phase, Morgan is our go-to person for our existing dealer network and for dealers interested in partnering with us to bring our products to their customers.

Kate, our CEO’s daughter, also came to the show for the first time. As with many aviation families, she is following somewhat in her dad’s footsteps and is leaning into the aviation-related subjects as she completes the 2nd year of her engineering degree. She took her semester holidays to join us, meet our clients, and experience Oshkosh – which is always quite an experience. She came away feeling the way most of us do after Oshkosh – yes, tired, but also on a high.

It is always lovely to get to talk with our clients face-to-face, walk you through our products, and see your reactions as you get hands-on with them – especially our new skySuite, which is now shipping after years of development. It has been quite a journey from that small idea to what you can get your hands on today.

I have to say, my favourite is our Digital Pitot Static Probe (PSP) that we pop on the table by the aisle. I watch people pass, look curiously, and wonder if they can touch it. Then, after the little “ah, you know you want to play with it” prompt – or similar cheek from us (I’m Irish, you can’t expect me to behave!) – it gets picked up, thrown around the place, and blown into as the remote screen display reacts in minute detail – the smiles just get broader.

For now, another brilliant week at EAA AirVenture @ Oshkosh is over. It is back to our desks and our certification projects, bringing these products from experimental to Certified, and that process is flying forward.
